En fjern slektning i USA prøver å finne sitt svenske opphav. This is what he knows: I'm seeking information on my ggp's Johannes Olsson Edman b. 1845 and Lovisa Oldsdotte b. in Langserud parish in 1847 . They were married in 1869 and lived in Kila. Their children were Angelina Frideborg called Frida b 1880; Maria Elenora possibly called Eileen b 1882; Karl Oskar b.1884, his address at death was in Valberg; Anna Teresia b. 1887 emigrated to Duluth, MN in 1906 and married Brede Konrad Blengsli (Blingslee after Ellis Island) and d 1957 in Calif.; Hilme Teresia b 1889 amd d living at Stargartet 8, Saffle; and Signe b about 1890.
Johannes was a soldier, and may have been a junior officer in the palace guard, he is also said to have been a butcher.
I have their listing from the 1890 census but am now at a dead end. If anyone recognizes one or more of these names I would be most appreciative.
