Erik Engebretson was born 11 April 1824. He might have married first Maria Nilsdtr. 12 May 1856. A child was born 30 Sept. 1859 in Holmedal. Possibly, this child, named Anna Charlotte, went to Kråkstad (a parish in Akershus county,near Oslo) in 1867. Her birth may have been Sept. 1857?? Did her mother die so she might have been sent to live with relatives?? Erik married Mariane Andersdotter, born 21 Sept. 1834 in Västra Fågelvik -Vang farm. There are other children listed Maria, born 1864 in Holmedal, Anders Emil born 6 oct. 1866, Johan Edvard born 1869, Emma Matilda born 19 Feb. 1872 in Øymark, Ostfold, Norway, as were Karl Anton born 10 June 1874 and Nils Olai born 1 Nov. 1877. About 1882 the parents and several children emigrated to MN and later Wisconsin, USA. In Norway, the family lived at the Sloreby farm. Is the marriage date for Erik and Mariane possible to find?
