Hi Al!
In the marriage records, 1797, his surname is Holmberg. In the household records,1793-1800, his  
name is changed to Holmberg.(Pärsson is crossed out.)  
He didn't lived with his parents. He was only eight years old when his father died. The children were placed in different homes.
 
It was very common to change your name in those days.
