Thanks for sending the information regarding the Westerberg family and Katarina Parish records.  This was definitely helpful (I had no clue Ancestry.com etc. didn't have all of the images of the household examination records).  
 
Do you know of a researcher/genealogist we could hire to help us find a living male descendant of Jan Jannson Westerberg (or descendants of Jan's brothers, paternal uncles, etc.)?  
 
We think my great-great-great grandfather, William Smith, is one and the same person as Johan Theodor Westerberg, but to confirm this we'll need to use DNA evidence.  We thought it would be best to hire a genealogist/family researcher in Sweden to help find living relatives and compare Y-DNA to confirm whether or not we're descended from the same male ancestor.  The genealogist would have to be familiar with using DNA evidence, of course.  
 
Any recommendations for a genealogist who could help us?
