(I posted this in the wrong forum earlier, so here it is in - I hope - the right forum)
This is my first visit to this site. I'm trying to locate information about my Great-Great Grandfather, Charles August Hofer, who was born near Stockholm August 27, 1843. He emigrated to the U.S. in about 1870.
I don't read a word of Swedish, but I'd very much appreciate any suggestions on how to proceed.
