Frans in Tarandröd (dead 1760-11-15 at an age of 60 year) is the brother of one of my ancestors. I do not have much information on him besides that he had at least two sisters; Torborg Hansdotter (1687 - 1749, my ancestor) and Anna Hansdotter. He was married to Angard Engelbrektsdotter (born 1678- dead 1719) and the remarried to Gurin Larsdotter (probably 1719).
With Gurin he had five children:

A former editor of Strömstads Tidning (a newspaper in Strömstad), Knut Hansson has told a story that Frans in Taranderöd had an encounter with the Swedish king Charles XII (Karl XII) on the kings way to the war in Norway 1716. At this encounter Frans shall have pinched the rapier from the king. It is probably not true; the bodyguards of the king would have killed him, but still gives a picture of Frans. We can imagine that he was the kind of person that could do such a thing.
