Carl Isaac Bard and family lived in Elghutt in the late 1800's. Carl is listed in military records as serving in the Uppvidinge Kompani of the Kalmar Regiment. Carl's surname was Samuelsson before the military change to Bard. I am looking for any records that would show in what capacity Carl served in the army. Was he an alloted soldier? Would appreciate any help in this question. Thank you.
