What years did A.J. Hagnell have a photography studio in Värnamo? I have a picture of one of my husband's great-great grandmothers that I would like to identify. At the bottom of the photo are the words, A.J. Hagnell Wernamo.
My husband's mormors parents and morfars parents immigrated to Iowa with their children in 1889. I do not know if they brought the photo with them or if it was sent at a later time. The dates of the photography business might help.
The picture is of an older woman, either Sara Stina Jonasdotter (1807-1891) born in Lindstad, Rydaholm and died in Mistelås or Stina Eliasdotter (1806-1897) born in Räfsebo and died in Skeda, Rydaholm.
