Hi Everyone,

I feel fairly sure that I have the right Carl Blom. HFL AI:2 1754-1775 P.109 GID: 1147.2.64600 and HFL AI:3 1776-1793 P.101 GID: 1147.3.81900 are of the Blom family and while not fully consistent give me enough evidence. Especially when viewed together with the five children's birth records.

Brita f. 1752 3/6 C:2 GID: 1147.18.80200 aka Brita Stina
Carl f. 1754 13/3 C:2 GID: 1147.18.80600
Lars f. 1756 27/1 C:2 GID: 1147.18.81000 - d. 1805 19/2 C:3 GID: 1147.20.10100
Ana Elisabeth f. 1758 21/3 GID: 1147.18.81400 aka Ana Lisa
Jonas f. 1765 13/8 C:2 GID: 1147.18.82900

All the records with the exception of Ana Elisabeth's birth list Knutsbråten as the name of the farm.
A HFL from Östra Torsås, and only one, shows Carl Blohm's birth parish as Wrigstad AI:7 1815-1825 GID: 850.8.54800.

A little background. I married Marilyn Holgerson whose mother is Florence Bloom. I got involved in this project because I happen to have a computer and enjoy genealogy research. The first Bloom came to America in 1854 - his name was Anders Gustaf Blom and he settled in Center City, Minnesota. From that beginning, the Blooms hold an annual reunion which in 2003 was their 150th and they numbered 300 persons. I believe Lief is qualified to attend the next one which will be in early July.

I was born in Örkelljunga, Harbåckshult but left Sweden when I was 3 months old. Marilyn and I now live in Emerson, New Jersey. My father's family is from Harbåckshult and my mother's family is from Gotland, Hablingbo. And I have plenty of work to finish up on those projects.

Leif, we have to get together and compare notes. I wanted to first do the above research so as to have a fresh, unbiased look at the records. Let me know what you would like to do next. Do you have Skype?

Again, many thanks to all of you for your generous interest in my story.

Best regards,
Thord
