Johan August was born to farmer Peter Johan Persson and Brita Maja Johansdotter at Snokebo (?)according to the birth book for Djursdala. The notes in the household census are a bit strange but it seems he had 3 brothers: Carl Johan b 1820, Anders Peter b 1825 and Gustaf Fredrik b 1829. Later there is Ludvig b 1836, but I cannot see Joahn August in the household census. Lovisa Josefina was born 28 June according to the birth book in Vimmerby to Rusthållare (a farmer who was responsible for keeping a soldier) Jonas Peter Larsson and Catharina Carlsdotter, 28 years, from Pinnarp. She had several siblings in 1840: Maja Greta b 1832, Anna Lotta b 1834, Christina Carolina b 1836 and Carl Peter b 1840. Later she had brother Lars Joahn b 1843 and sisters Sofia Wilhelmina and Ida Mathilda b 1846. Carl Peter died in 1845.
