I am searching for information on a shipwreck which occurred in 1856 or 1855. The ship was from the Monsteras area. The shipwreck occurred at night and the survivors were stranded on a small island until rescued. One of the survivors was Henrik Jonsson Hammarquvist (f: 1802 12/6, d: 1856 11/9) of Monsteras. Would appreciate any information available on the shipwreck including where to look for additional information.
