Hi again Ken, I am a rookie and I hope to be corrected by some more experienced in this forum if I am wrong, but Jonsson is from Jon, yes its a forename. If a father was named Jonas, his sons should be called Jonasson, and daughters Jonasdotter However...we have a lot of barely literate overclockers rewriting the priests notes from one place to another. (I have heard rumors...not sure...that they some times where not perfectly sober and therefore sometimes some letter disappeared...). = You must search for more evidence than only the name on one place, to be sure its your man. ;-)
