Fantastic to find new relatives in the US! I have just recently started
to collect material about my relatives so this list is far from complete.

Gustav Thunqvist was my fathers parental grandfather and his mother was
Charlotta Svensdotter (see descendants below).

I just found out on this forum that Gustav, his mother and half-brother
Carl Oscar Svensson were living in the workhouse/poor-house in Misterhult
parish, Kalmar, between 1887 and 1890. 1890, Gustav moved to Källstugan,
Misterhult where he worked as a farm hand.

Around 1900, Gustav and his wife Augusta moved to Oxelösund, Södermanland
where he worked in the harbour and as a sawmill worker (from what I know so
far). He was an extremely strong man, known to be the strongest man in town,
but died at the age of 44 in 1918.

Gustavs wife Augusta died in 1971 at the age of 93. Someone, I don't know who,
has done some research on her and I can give you a very long list of relatives
on her side, back to Hemming (1500-1555). I cannot guarantee the validity of
that research since I do not have any sources in that material, but I will
definitely try to find them.

It would be great if you could send me more information about your side of the
Thunqvist family. I am more than happy to give you more info on the relatives
in the list below, and also put you in contact with the living Thunqvists that
I know of here in Sweden.
