According to the husförhörslängd in Karlstorp (Karlstorp AI:3 p366) he was born 25 march 1761 in Mellby. I am at work and can not check against the födelselängd in Mellby right now. But some people have uploaded his data to DISBYT and they claim he was born 1760 in Mellby and that his parents were Sven Jonsson (1708-1766) and Sara Persdotter (1719-1773). I will try to confirm this tonight, if nobody else is faster. What you did not tell in the posting is that Sven was married Dec 26 1787 in Karlstorp to Annika Samuelsdotter. Annika was born Oct. 28 1768 in Haddås frälsegård, Ingatorp parish. That is the parish where I have transcribed the records. I have her ancestry several generations back. In several cases her ancestry is common to my own. /Karl-Henrik
PS. I see now that Anita was faster. But the birth in Mellby still has to be confirmed.
