Hello. I do not read Swedish so I'm hoping someone on this list can read English. I'm looking for the family of my great-great-grandmother:
Carolina Johnson (Swedish version of surname? It could be Johansson, Johansdotter, etc)
b. July 23, 1842 or 1843 in Lommaryd Congregation, Jonkopings Lan, Smaland, Sweden.
She went to USA, arriving in Illinois October 1865. We do not know who she traveled with or what ship. We would like to find out about her family in Sweden. She married Charles J. Gibson in Chicago, Ill USA in June 24, 1866. He was from Sweden also but we do not know where he came from or his original surname and were told it had been changed.
