I live in America and will make my first visit to Sweden on June 18. My great-grandfather was Alfred DuRietz. He was born in Kleva, Resmo parish on March 29, 1848. His parents were Otto Christian DuRietz(born May 20, 1806 in Viserum) and Lisa Persdotter (born September 15, 1815 in Kleva, Resmo). Alfred had many brothers and sisters. All were born in Kleva. Alfred came to America two times that I know. The first trip was in 1869. In 1880, he made a second trip with my great-grandmother, Betty Charlotta Nelson also of Kleva. I plan to visit Kleva. The visit would be much more meaningful, if I could visit the exact farm or home where Alfred was raised. Would anyone have any knowlege of exactly where the DuRietz family lived in Resmo. I know very little about my great-grandmother Betty Charlotta Nelson other than she was born in February 1858 and before coming to America lived in Resmo some part of her life, if not all of it.
Any address or farm names would be so helpful and so appreciated.
