Hi Ann,
I tried to find Charlotta Carolina in Eksjö but failed.  
I did find the family that you mention. They lived in Ufhemmet? on the farm Markestad Södergård in Höreda (from hfl Höreda AI:11 page 300):
Carl M Johansson born May 4 1823 in Vetlanda
Maria Catharina Johansdotter born July 4 1814 in Höreda  
children:
Mathilda Charlotta born jan 2 1850 in Höreda
Sophia born Oct 9? 1853 in Höreda
 
the parents of the mother lived at the same place:
Johannes Norgren? born April 30 1786 in Höreda
Maria Johansdotter born Feb 16 1782 in Mellby parish
 
I can see no reference to a child born in Eksjö for this family at this time.
