Hi again Ken, Jonas and Jon is considered to be the same name so you can expect to see the son's name written both as Jonsson and Jonasson. Poor people moved around a lot to earn their living where ever possible. Another reason to move was to take over a farm or 'torp' when a father or older brother or father in law died or retired.
