Hej!
Jag har fått lite mera information om Johan Alfred Nelson/Nilson från släkting i USA. Andra datum när han anlände till USA och när han blev Amerikansk medborgare än jag angav tidigare.
Johan Alfred Nelson/Nilson Born: Sept. 20, 1863 in Sweden (My Grandfather said Småland Area) Came to the US in 1883/84, landed in New York. Settled in Pennsylvania, then moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota. Declaration of Intent filed in Grand Forks in March of 1886. Citizenship in 1894. Married Augusta Johnson (Norwegian) in Crookston, Minnesota in 1893.
Brothers and Sisters: Carrie Nelson/Nilson-Came to the US before my GGfather married an Olson lived in Grand Forks. Ida Nelson/Nilson-Stayed in Sweden. Malcolm Nelson/Nilson-worked in a lumber mill. Cornelius Nelson/Nilson-well educated and had a good job with the Swedish Government.
Don't know the names of the father or mother, only know that the father was a farmer and made shoes. He was killed at the age of 65 digging a well.
