Hi Georgina!

What I can find out there is no relatives to Carl Fredrik Korsman living in the above described household.

Carl Fredrik came to Sweden in 1836 as a widower along with his two sons, he was born in Finland, and became a soldier in the Starrarp rote (Starrarp file) in Fränninge parish.
He retired as a gratualist i.e. he got a small pension from the government and probably had to leave the soldiers cottage in Starrarp and move somewhere else.

Since Hans Bergman at No 13 Björka also was a soldier, a lower non-commissioned officer, my guess is that they served together maybe in the war against the Russians 1808-1810.
Before 1810 some parts of Finland belonged to Sweden.

Your third great grandfather lived next door to my third great grandfather in Björka  , but he wasn?t lucky to get a pension as retired corporal, so he ended up at the poorhouse aged 81.
