Hi Martha,
Ah yes, the joy of the Örebro hfls! The town of Örebro is divided into a north and a south part (with the river Svartån as the divider between the two). In these early hfl there are no street names, only house (or plot) numbers, followed by a letter N (for norr/north) or S (for söder/south). So in your example, Petter moves from 146S to 121N! The house numbers can be found in the upper left corner of the pages, and generally Norr is the first part of the hfl, followed by Söder. Later on it gets more confusing when there is a mixture of street names and house numbers... Not sure if I explained this properly, if I can be of any further help, please just ask!
Regarding the estate index, I keep double clicking until the thing opens up in Notepad. It looks a mess of writing, but can be searched by using the edit tab at the top and then find. There is probably a way of making it prettier, but that works for me.
