Hello,
My great grandmother Anna Olea Åkeson was born born 5 Jul 1861 in Lillberg, Borgsjö, Medalpad, Västernorrland, Sweden.
I have a picture of her father but was not sure of his name. I was told that her father was a married man and not married to her mother and that she took the name of her father. I was told that it could be Åke or Åkeson.
The picture I have of him has a photographer's name on it that says Ostlings & Andersson in Boden. I do not know where Boden is in Sweden - perhaps you can tell me if it is in Norrbotten.
I recently found a copy of the manifest from the ship she was on that landed in Quebec, Canada in 1908 and under the column that asks for the nearest relative and complete address of the next of kin in Sweden, it shows that her father was Olof Åkeson living in Boden Lulio? Sweden. Is it possible that you might know where I might locate him.
