I'm looking for information about Carl Petter Olofsson (born Persson) b. 1817-09-15 christened 1817-09-17, of illegitimate birth to mother Segrin Pehrsdotter. I don't know if he was born in Lockne or in Brunflo. It is believed Segrin came from Lockne and was born about 1785. She also had another illegitimate son Pehr b. 1816. At the time of Pehr's birth she was said to be 31 years old.
However, there is another record that shows a Carl Petter b. 1817-08-17 to mother Segrin Pehrsdr who later married Pehr Edling in Lockne. Here Segrin was said to be born 1792, so I don't know if this is the same Segrin or even the same Carl.
There was also a Carl Petter Olofsson b. 1817-08-17 who moved from Lockne to Stugun 1835-11-14.
Carl Petter later changed his last name to Olofsson. He married Ingeborg Christina Mellgren about 1861 and they lived in Båda, Stugubyn, Stugun. Their daughter Katarina Christina was born 1858-06-19 before they married. At the time Carl Peter married Ingeborg Christina Mellgren, he was stated to be a widower, possibly married the first time in 1842, but this is not a certain fact.
His death record shows him as Karl Petter Olsson, farmer in Stugubyn, b. 1817-09-17 (could be the 15th as shown above) and died 1895-09-20 in Stugun. He was listed as a widower. Ingeborg Mellgren must have died before he did. He was said on this record to be born in Locken.
This is very confusing, and I'm wondering if someone would be kind enough to try to help me figure out which is the correct Carl Petter, who was the correct mother to him, and who he first married? Thanks so much.
