I too am researching Carl Fredrik Gellert b 10 May 1821 in Skeda. I have been unable to find any reocrd of his death or if he perhaps immigrated. The last trace I have found of him in in the 1881 -1888 Household survey. He is in Västervik, Kalmar. His wife died in 1859 and his only surviving child a son Louis Petrus b 1857 went to Australia. I believe he went to England first but have not been able to find his exact departure and arrival in Australia. He married there in 1881. Louis was fostered to the Lindstrom family. After the death of his foster father Adolph Lindstrom in 1872, Louis became a seaman. Any suggestions as to where to find a trail for Carl Fredrik would be very appreciated. Regards Cheryl Nielsen
