Carl, thanks for the follow-up. I will request that marriage certificate from Whiteside county, along many others, as so many relatives lived there. Maybe that will help confirm the information on your traceback to Sweden.
genealogytrails.com is an interesting website that I have not seen before. It also showed the deaths of both children, neither of whom had any children of their own. End of that branch.
