In the link to "Arméns pensionskassa" posted above is an actual date for when Anders was born, 5 january 1731. That could be true or false, but lets research it. In the database for children born in the "Sjuhärad" region I can find only one Anders born at that day, and that is in Berghem parish.

The birth of Anders Hedendahl might not be recorded in any book though, or he might be born outside of Sjuhärad. Also, this is about 50km from Gingri where he was recruited but it was very common for soldiers in this area to move away for duty. The Anders born 5 jan 1731 was the son of a soldier, Per Horn, and those often became soldiers themself. So maybe he is worth checking up after all.
