LOUIS KJALLBERG: Mickinock Township Louis KJALLBERG immigrated fra Halsingland, Sweden in 1867. He was a tailor who found work in Chicago. Eventually he and his wife, Bertha, moved to Litchfield, Minnesota where Edward was born. The other children were: John KjallbergMary Kjallberg TRANSTROM Bessie Kjallberg Anna Kjallberg Minnie Kjallberg
Later the family moved to Hallock, MN, then back again to Litchfield and then to Roseau County.
As a Baptist, Louis felt called, though not ordained, to spread the gospel by going about preaching. Later he and his wife Bertha became Seventh Day Adnetists.
Incidentially, Bertha's cousin, Oman, was the finder of the much disputed Kensington Rune Stone displayed at Alexandria, Minnesota.
