So I want to add to the confusion/mystery  :)
Please bear with me for this is a bit of a story....

I was trying to figure out what happened to Carl Johan Fribergs daughter Anna Signe Maria born June 11th 1879 Malmö Caroli. And I found this entry in SSDI:
Name:   Anna F Smith
Birth Date:   11 Jun 1879
Birth Place:   Malmio, Sweden
Claim Date:   18 Mar 1947
SSN:   141162575
Notes:   05 Nov 1976: Name listed as ANNA F SMITH

So I thought F for Friberg perhaps and the birth date and birth place was a match. SSN prefix 141 indicates New Jersey.

I think this Anna died in 1950 and I found her obituary in the Courier Post in Camden NJ July 11th 1950. She is the widow to Aaron Smith and leaves a son Burton J Smith and a half sister Mrs Otto Blust in Philadelphia. Burial in the baptist cemetery.

This is Burton John Smiths marriage record (from Pennsylvania US marriages):
Name:   Burton J. Smith
Gender:   Male
Age:   24
Birth Date:   abt 1903
Marriage Date:   18 Jun 1927
Marriage Place:   Scranton, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, USA
Father:
Aaron Smith
Mother:
Anna Friberg
Spouse:
Marion R. Kinback
Film Number:   002313043

That explains F for Friberg as Annas maiden name.

Ok, so the next step was to figure who this half sister was. After some digging it turns out to be a Hannah Blust born 1891/1892 Philadelphia. Daughter to a danish man named George Fredrickson and a norwegian mother named Valborg. Now, that didn't make sense so I kept digging.

When George and Valborg marries in 1898 her last name is listed as Friberg. And this is her second marriage. An interesting fact is that it is stated that her previous husband was dead at sea ? years ago. Very fuzzy text so I cannot make out exactly how many years:

I then found this marriage in 1888 in Philadelphia:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JJKQ-YTG (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JJKQ-YTG)

It is between a Charles John Friberg and a woman with last name Moe. And then this clip from ancestry (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S Marriage Index):
Name:   Charles John Friberg
Gender:   Male
Spouse:   Inga Helinda Valborg Aurora Moe
Spouse Gender:   Female
Marriage Place:   Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Marriage Year:   1888
Marriage License Number:
18585
Digital GSU Number:   4140424

When George dies in 1925 his obit states that Valborgs maiden name was Moe.

It would make sense to send for his daughter in 1889 after his marriage to Valborg.

Here are a few more references I found a long the way (there is a lot more but is easily found):
1910 census (also a daughter Emily):

Emily died young:

Hannah Blust:

So, I will end this post with two questions:
1. How many Anna Fribergs born June 11th 1879 in Malmö area with a father Charles John/Carl Johan Friberg could there be?
2. Did the Charles John Friberg who at some point in time lived in Philadelphia really die or did he disappear to Europe/Wales and start a new family?
