Hej Linnéa
If the brothers and sisters emigrated before 1865 then it is usually different than after 1865.
The first check should be the Lutheran and Covenant Church records because they often provide parish (socken) U.S., Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Swedish American Church Records, 1800-1947 U.S., Evangelical Covenant Church, Swedish American Church Records, 1868-1970
These are available on Ancestry or from a search by the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center (Rock Island, Illinois) who charge a small fee for their research.
Next, find out what destinations in America other emigrants from the same area as your family settled. In the Jamestown, New York area, about 80% of the settlers were from 50km radius of Lönneberga or a 30km radius of Möne, Älvsborgs län. So, Swedes often went where other Swedes already lived, and often emigrants from the same small region settled in America in an area where other's of their same region had already settled.
