It happened now and then that births weren't recorded properly.
You can find Johan as "husbonde" (head of household) with his parents Anders Jansson and Stina Andersdotter in Hedemora AIb/2d img. 17 p. 8.
EDIT: In Hedemora AI/15e img. 14 p. 5 his birth date is given as Jan. 12 1831 and there he is in the birth records: Hedemora CI/9 img. 100, last entry on the right hand page: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0012975_00100
