The family moved from Gävle to Vaxholm in 1859, when Johan Jacob Wilhelm Marelius took up the position as postmaster. There's a note about Siri Aurora in the Vaxholm parish records vol. AI/21 (1876-80) p. 45 that she is of Roman Catholic faith and "is said to be married in Germany". Johan Jacob Wilhelm and Selma Augusta married in Gävle on May 6 1850 (Gävle Heliga Trefaldighet vol. CII/35 img 29). According to the Gävle arrival records, Johan Jacob Wilhelm came there from Tierp parish in April 1843. I haven't been able to find him in the departure records from Tierp parish. Since his birth place is given as Stockholm, not specifying the parish, it will be a tedious and time-consuming work trying to find out more. Selma Augusta was born in Vall, Torsåker parish, on July 4th 1820 (Torsåker vol. C/5 img. 80). Parents were the tax clerk in the county administration (Swedish häradsskrivare) Johan Erik Engström and his wife Christina Elisabeth Cornelius. Johan Erik was born Jan. 16 1783 and Christina Elisabeth Dec. 22 1782 (Torsåker vol. AI/15b p. 41).
