"Mr. Carl Michaelson, noted composer and Staten Island resident, passed away Monday, Sept. 11th, 2017 due to complications from Parkinson's Disease. Mr. Michaelson is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Staten Island Museum director and sculptor Elizabeth Egbert. He is survived by his son Charles Michaelson and daughter in law Lauren Moss, who are both teachers and daughter singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the Michaelson family has asked that donations be made in honor of Carl Michaelson to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research".
