My grandmother (Hilma Marie Burman b. May 5, 1873) emigrated from Enånger to the USA in 1891. She was the oldest of seven girls (Amanda, Hulda, Anna, Hilda, Lily Naomi, and Maria). Their parents were Anders Burman (Dec. 3,1841- Dec. 15, 1890) and Marie Jonsdotter Hedlund Anderson (Aug. 6-1848-Jan. 4, 1916). Anders' parents were Olof Burman (b. 1803) and Margaret Nordlof (1802- 1867), and his grandparents were Lars Fredrech Anderson Burman (b. 1771) and Margareta Michelsdotter (1773-1860).
Do I have any relatives in Enånger now? Also, who were the parents of Marie Jonsdotter Hedlund Anderson? And does anyone know where the Burman homestead was in Enånger? My husband and I plan to stop in Enånger this June for a day and hope to see the places where my ancestors lived!
