Hello Paul, I found the names Linkoping and ostergotland written by hand on a document but without knowing the source or the validity, and we thought for a long time that it was his hometown. But recently we find that in his French naturalization document he said he was born in Stockholm. Yvonne Henriksson from "swedenroots.se" write me that there was a Seaman House in Linköping and that he maybe just "jump on" the ship there.
