This is very interesting to me. The Johan Österman and wife Anna Karolina Kristiansdotter still have descendants living in Halmstad now; my cousins.
When you write of Johannes Pettersson Österman, b. 1815 in Breared. Was Pettersson his actual second name, or do you think it was written that way to distinguish him as Petter's son; because their last name was unchanging Österman ?? And same for Kristina Pettersdotter Österman?? This is first time I've seen this.
Any idea how I can find more on Petronella Andersdotter, wife of Christian Österman? I have her born 10 Sep. 1822 in parish Getinge, and that she had been living at Nilsågarden, in parish Enslöv from 1836-41. At time of marriage 1845, they lived in Råmebo. She was not found as born in Getinge on the date I have when searched for previously. She died 9 July 1906, at home of son Johan Österman. Would there be a death record for her? Would it list her parent's names?
