I have used Ancestry.com to find some of the following info and some I've gathered from records I have.
My maternal grandparents are Sven Gustaf Johnson, born on 5 July 1879 in Goteryd, arrived in America in 1899, possibly recruited to work at the Norton Company in Worcester, MA. He died in Worcester on 2 Sept. 1932. His parents are possibly John Johnson and Anna Swenson.
My maternal grandmother is Ida Sofia Svenson, born in Hoganas on 15 Dec. 1880. She arrived in America in 1887 with her parents Peter Magnus Svenson, born on 29 Aug. 1852 in Ostra Karup and Louisa Anderson (Andersdotter ) born on 4 Nov. 1846 in Voltup. They were married on 29 Dec. 1875. Before leaving Sweden they had 3 daughters, my grandmother Ida, and Gerda born 1876 in Vasby and Elise born in 1878 in Wasley.
At some point after arriving in the USA Svenson became Swenson.
I'd like to be able to trace them further back in Sweden.
