Could it be Wallis instead of Wolles? Wallis is a soldiers name i Ukna parish, Kalmar län.
Johan Lorents Holsten Wallis (later Wallace) born 1828-10-25 Grönbrink, Ukna (H), H = district of Kalmar. Married 1858-05-20 i Gärdserum parish (H, E) E = district of Östergötland. Married the farmers daugther Maria Augusta Pettersdotter born 1835-09-25 Gärdserum, both from Tingetorp at the marriage.
J L H Wallis died in Iowa in 1909 according to a note at www.dis.se. His daugter Anna Catharina born 1864 Gärdserum married in Iowa in 1882.
Johan L H Wallis father was the soldier Anders Peter Johansson Wallis, born in Dalen, Ukna 1802-06-04 (C:4 Ukna p 354). His parents were the Soldier Johan Färdig and Anna Svensdotter.
