Hallo Lasse I don't know yet how much info we might be able to provide that you may not already have, in response to the tremendous amount of data you have kindly given us, but for now at least, we can fill in a little bit about one person, Jöns Petter Johannesson. At some point after his emigration, he came to use the name of James Peter Johnson.
Around 1883 he married Ida Matilda Anderberg. Per the 1900 census in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha county, South Dakota, she was born October 1861 in Sweden, and immigrated 1871. James and Ida are in Sioux Falls for the 1910, 1930, and 1940 census, and in nearby Benton for the 1920 census (when James' mother Helena was also living with them). In the South Dakota state census of 1935 and also 1945, their address in Sioux Falls was 807 S. Summit.
We don't know yet anything firm about James or Ida after the 1940 census, but we suspect that James might have died 1945 in Minnehaha county, and Ida perhaps in 1950 or 1954, also in the county.
Children of James and Ida, all born in Minnehaha Co.: Ruby May Johnson 09 Aug 1884. Birth filed in 1931. male Johnson 09 Aug 1884. Died perhaps before 1900 census. Arthur Roy Johnson 08 May 1886. Living at 1920 census and married to Bertha E. ?, born ca. 1887 in Iowa. They had a daughter, Francis E. Johnson, born ca. 1914 in Illinois. Edna Grace Johnson 01 Feb 1888. Birth filed in 1931.
This is all we have so far for James' family and his later U.S. years.
Now back to work on the info you sent for many more individuals!
