I am trying to trace further back on my lines in Breared parish. First of all, can anyone tell me about the book by Erik Svensson, called Torp och stugor i Breareds församling ? Can he be contacted, or does someone have this book..and maybe tell me if my family is mentioned in it??
I am looking for JONAS ÖSTERMAN, born 1754 maybe in Eldsberga parish. He was married to HELENA / ELIN JONASDOTTER , born 1750 at Stjärnarp, Eldsberga. But they were living in Breared later and both died there, at Skerkered... he in 1830 and she in 1829.
Jonas and Elin had a son PETER ÖSTERMAN, born 1790 at Satriet Stjärnarp, Eldsberga. But when he was married in 1813 Snöstorp (to CARIN BENGTSDOTTER) he was of Skierkered. Peter died 1864, probably in Skerkered, Breared.
Peter and Carin had son CHRISTIAN ÖSTERRMAN born 1817 at Skerkered. He later went to Enslöv and then settled Snöstorp.
Can anyone tell me more on these people? Has anyone run into the Östermans in their research?
