Thank you. I also got a copy of the christening record through enail. I know that I'm in the right direction because Gustaf Adolf followed in his fathers footsteps (if I understand konstapel correctly): he was a lieutenant in the Dutch Navy. Amongst other things he 'fought' in the Battle of Saldanha Bay (1796).
Again thank you for the first step in solving this 'mystery'!
