I am looking for information on Claus Andersson from Tosterup born: Oct. 25,1889. According to family members, he supposedly jumped ship when he came to America. They thought he was in the Swedish Merchant Navy. Is there any way to find out if this is true? He was in the U.S. 1920 census records so it would have been before that. His father's name was Anders Svensson (Lilja). I am not sure if his name would be Andersson or Lilja. I hope someone can find him in the military as this would be nice to have the story verified.
