I am very grateful for this information, too. It really brings a little life to dead facts! I never thought it would be possible to find out this much about old Utza and his folk... Am I right in assuming that Utza and Utsi is one and the same?
According to Jan Johansen - http://home.no/jan-4/index2.htm - it seems like Johannes younger brother called himself Nils Persson Utsi... But, there is a problem here: I have 1774 as the birth date of Johannes Pedersen Konka - died in 1799 - but I am not sure what the source is, as I have copied it from my brother's notes. Can there be two of the same name also with fathers with similar names, born so close to each other?
Is it anyone who can clear this up? If the Johannes of 1766 is known to have deceased in 1799, it should be all clear, I'd say.
