He was an ordinary soldier, or boatsman which was common in the areas close to the sea.
Sweden has not been at war since 1814 so when soldiers died during their service it was most often on the hospitals. The garrison hospital was situated in the military parish Skeppsholm on the island with the same name in Stockholm.
Harg is not a city, it is more the size of av village.
