2nd Battalion 69th (South Lincolnshire) Foot during the Waterloo Campaign ... Private John Nelson (probably Neilson) was from Carlscrona in Sweden. He had enlisted in the Regiment in 1814 aged 26. At Quatre Bras he was wounded in the leg, was still in the General Hospital at the end of September, and was subsequently discharged in October 1816. (napoleon-series.org)
