Your logic makes alot of sense to me. Olof went by Linne' the entire time he was in the USA. And before it was on the Arbetsbetyg that a cousin found in Elin, Olof's wifes belongings. Olof died in 1956, Elin in 1977. Even though I was only a 100 or so miles from them, I never met them due to some falling out my grandmother had with them. Petty. Elin was born 21 June 1883. Her faher is listed as Göns Borg and her mother Josephine Andersdotter. But with the naming patterns I am at a loss. It seems that my mother, uncle, and aunt, believed they were related to Carl Von Linne' the scientist. So much that they were taken in Chicago, IL to see a monument of him. Apparently all of that was fabrication. Unless there is some connection to Elin. So much for oral history . Your help and rapid responses have been a wondeful help and very much appreciated.
