53 Kihl must mean that he moved from Kihl parish in 1853. The others are page numbers in the household records (letters being the different volumes in Kristinehamn). Torpare means crofter, someone who has a cottage and some land in exchange for work at a nearby farm. He obviously went downhill during his life.
