As mentioned above Tjärhovsgatan today is shorter than it used to be, actually much shorter. The pictures of Tjärhovsgatan, in above link, are from the beginning of the street. Your family lived in the other - today non-existing - end. The block Barnängen mindre is bigger today, got a different name, is not connected to Tjärhovsgatan and todays buildings in the block are modern.
