The only Karl August Skog who died in 1970, according to the CD-ROM Swedish Death Index, was born in 1885 (not 1895) and was born in Skerike parish in Västmanland län (not in the U.S.) He was registered in Västerås Badelunda, Västerås kn (Västmanlands län, Västmanland) at the time he died.
His marriage date is listed in this record, but I suspect it wasn't his first marriage since it was so late in his life.
