Hello Larry As there was no response to your question on Nederkalix. This is what I have found in the Swedish Census of 1900 about Valfrid Högman and his household: Record 3878068
Högman, Valfrid Arbetare (worker)
b. 1863 in Nederkalix (Norrbottens län, Norrbotten)
Widower, father
Töre Nederkalix (Norrbottens län, Norrbotten)
Place of birth (original source): Nederkalix
Högman, Valfrid 1863 Father (Barn), Emma Albertina 1885 Child (Barn), Frans Axel 1887 Child
You can see that Valfrid´s wife has died, Ester Julia does not live with her father and siblings. The most probable reason for that is that she is working as a maid somewhere. She could have passed away. I do not have access to the church-books unfortunately. There you could find out more about the family.
