Skrivet av: Gene Linden skrivet 2003-05-23, 06:05: Thanks to Olle Elm's posting of the husförhörslängd (20 May, above) I now know that my Great-Grandfather, Klas Fredrik Snäll, was born in Nässjö on what appears to be 20 July 1844.
Would someone with access to the Nässjö CD please look up the birth records on that date to possibly discover Klas Fredrik's original family name? I know that would be preferable to search his military records, but I do not know his military unit. I was able to find his death recorded on 8/26/1930 in the BARKERYD parish record, he was listed as a Gratialist there, which I believe to be a pensioner, but no other family members are listed in this parish database. I know that his wife, Anna Kristina (Magnidotter) Snäll died around the same time, but perhaps at a later time period than the Jönköping database covers. Thank you for your kind indulgence.
